Pilot Mountain

The photo in the header is of Pilot Mountain. My son took the photo while we stopped at a minute market on Hwy 268. We were heading to my daughter's house last Thursday. The "knob" of the mountain does not show, but notice the cloud just hovering over the mountain. Donald was impressed with the photo and so am I. I think Pilot Mountain is the reason I wanted to move here, and I never tire of looking at it. Legend has it that fairies live under the knob. That same day we all went up to visit with Leslie Shelor at Greenberry House (yarn/fiber store) in Meadows of Dan, VA and then we went to Fairy Stone Park. All in all, it was a nice day. The rain cleared up and the sun came out. The three of us don't get to go places together all that much.
