The quilt top is completed but not quilted. It has been in the high 90's here for a week now. It is hard to breathe outside and even hotter in my little quilt (trailer) studio. At this rate, it could be Fall before I get any quilting done. Even with the a/c on it is hot in here! I once told a friend in Michigan that if her Sunday School class wondered what hell was like, I told her to tell them "North Carolina in summer". This quilt is made mostly from remnants, scraps, and the red, black and blue as suggested by Bonnie Hunter. I'm very glad it is finished!!Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Your OC looks great. It is amazing looking at blogs today, how different the tops look. I am liking it more and more. Sorry it's so hot, but I'm in Florida, so it's hot here too. Do you have AC? Your quilting trailer sounds interesting. Is it a seperate place to quilt?

Hi June, Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment. Your studio sounds great except for the heat. I didn't realize Florida had better weather, it seems like there are so many trees there that it wouldn't be so hot. I live only about an hour from Kissimmee.

Your quilt is just gorgeous! I know you're so ready to get it quilted. But I beg to differ about the heat - you should try Arkansas. :( North Carolina has to be cooler than this! Blessings, marlene
Love your version! We're had only a week so far this spring of hot weather ..... next week will be cool again and that is so unusual for Toronto. Mind you, this weather is wonderful to do hand quilting.
Your OC looks great -- so different from most of the others I've seen. Color choice can make such a difference.
