Granny Stripe Afghan

At last!! After a few unsuccessful tries yesterday, the photo loaded immediately today! Go figure! This afghan is made of scraps and bits leftover from Prayer Shawls and other projects. It is shown folded in half on the chair. Actually, it doesn't take a whole lot of yarn to do a stripe. Each stripe is 2 rows. I am working on the Bernat Mystery Afghan as well. Oh my gosh! Today's pattern calls for making 16 squares! Yikes! I hate Granny Squares, but I do like working a Mystery (afghan or quilt) so........ This one'll take awhile. It's a rainey day today, so might as well get started.

Your afghan is beautiful June!.. oh, but just TELL me about granny squares! I LOVE them, but they can get monotonous depending on the project! I am making a granny square sweater right now, and just HOPE it's going to come out nice when it's done... It's definitely going to be one of my more (if not MOST) colorful sweaters!.. I have packed away all the fun and frilly summer clothes, and dragged out all my sweats and sweaters, as the temps are definitely calling for them now, around here! Brrrr.. But maybe, when it's done, this new sweater will be one to lift my spirits, if ever I need, right?!!.. Have a great day, and a wonderful weekend! ~tina
