Several times this spring I have read on blog-friends blogs about their losing their older cats, for one reason or another. I hoped and prayed that it wouldn't happen to us. Yesterday we received the bad news from our Pilot Mountain Vet that Shizuku-chan is in kidney failure. After discussing the future with him, he made several good suggestions, and we will keep a watchful eye on her. I will not let her suffer, but I love her too much to let her go too soon (to meet my convenience). Your good thoughts and prayers for her (and us) will be appreciated. She is my best friend, and is now eighteen years old! God Bless!

So, so sorry to hear this. It's very hard to lose our dear old friends.
I'm so sorry to hear this. Shizu-chan knows how much you love her and want the best for her. I suppose my eldest kitty had kidney failure too but I didn't want to know too much and I believe he didn't suffer. It is hard to know what is the right timing for our loved ones.
Lord, please be with June and Shizuoka-chan. We know you made our kitties with as much love and thought as you made us. Thank you for bringing them into our lives and letting us learn from them about unconditional love. Help Us to always know what is best for those in our charge. Help us with Your plans and timing. In Jesus' name, Amen
